Doing these presentations are fun. Even if I mess up really badly, my group members would just cheer me on, despite what had happened. I would say the best speaker in my group is Sumeet because he never makes a mistake in his presentation. I would say the worst speaker in our group is me. I seem to mess up the most in the presentation. I had forgotten to change the business model canvas, and so it sounded weird and outdated.
I don't practice beforehand hand, but I believe it is necessary. It is important so you are fluent in the actual presentation. You would sound a lot more professional and sound like you know what you are doing, which is really helpful in a business presentation.
Most of the GoSoapBox comments are very vague. They don’t help, and they usually are the same thing that Ms. Chou says, so they are of absolute no help to us. They also point out other things that don’t really help us and we can’t fix.
For our prototype, it isn’t sure to work, but it has a good chance. So far, we got it to work on the things we want. Even if it doesn’t work, we could easily put a picture of a failed attempt, which would be nice for the judges. I think we will do very well because of our immense progress so far on the prototype.
When we are presenting in front of the class as a group I feel like we are organized. The best speaker in our group would probably be Sumeet. The speaker that would probably be the least talented at speaking would be Ayush only by a little because of his stuttering.
I do practice my presentation before because last year in SEARCH I saw that the groups that looked well prepared and actually memorized their parts were able to succeed. I think our presentations are pretty good and for myself I think I do pretty good because I memorize my own slides
I feel like some of the comments on gosoapbox are vague but I also find that some of them are very constructive. I feel like my comments are pretty good because I give a lot of details.
I think that the judges will vies our group project from the science project well, because I think that it
Doing the presentation with my group members is fun. However, I am scared that the judges will ask one of my group members a question about science, business, etc., and he will not be able to answer it. The best speaker, in my opinion, is Zayan, because he memorized his slides and his voice is loud. The one who needs most improvement is Ayush. He needs to start memorizing his slides, and also articulate his speech more. That’s not to say he’s a bad speaker, however.
We do not practice beforehand, and from how the presentations have went, I can surely say that we need to practice more. I believe that our presentation does well at communicating what we are trying to accomplish. However, the science is very complicated and I don’t think that many people will understand it. I want to improve the enthusiasm bit of our presentation. I don’t think we have enough of it, including me.
Some of the comments we received on GoSoapBox were unconstructive, but most of them told us how we could improve. For example, one comment stated that Zayan, who was clearly the best-prepared out of all of us, was the worst speaker, which I disagreed with. I feel like I am giving constructive feedback to other groups on GoSoapBox.
I predict that our prototype will work, even though it’s not a 100% guarantee. If we fail, we can take photos of our failed attempts. Because of this, I think that the judges will think our project was a good effort, whether we have a working prototype or not. However, the business part of our project is lacking, so we will have to work on that. I would rate our group among the middle-to-top of our period, because we are definitely not the worst, but not the best I’ve seen either.
